The European Union called Taliban’s home searches a “crime” and called for an end to the operation that kicked off last week.

Taliban security forces have been searching homes, in the guise of mopping up illegally-held guns by civilians and criminals. EU Ambassador to Afghanistan, Von Brant, has said the world is watching the Taliban actions, which he described as a “crime.”

“The intimidations, house searches, arrests, and violence against members of different ethnic groups and women are crimes and must stop immediately,” Von Brant tweeted.

Despite Putin’s war, we are watching you, he added referring to Russian military operations in Ukraine
