Burundi records 20 more COVID-19 cases

Currently the number of positive cases related to the Coronavirus pandemic in Burundi stands at 83 of which 45 of them recovered and were discharged from the hospital and one fatality. PHOTO|FILE.

Last Saturday Burundi Health ministry announced twenty new COVID-19 cases after 98 people were tested for the virus including contact tracing of the previously infected patients among which 29 still under treatment.

“An intervention team from the ministry of health conducted tests in which 29 people under treatment after testing positive for the pandemic, 12 of them are no longer infected and were discharged the hsopital,” a satement read from the health ministry.
