The Taliban regime has now banned students and teachers from wearing neckties in schools.
The fresh move coming weeks after the regime that swept into power late last year banned girls from attending secondary school in what has sparked international condemnation.
A spokesperson at the Ministry of Education of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Aziz Ahmad Rayan said no ties will be allowed in school-by both teachers and learners.
Another ridiculous decree by the Taliban is a ban on women going to work, making the gender the worst affected under the new regime, according to local media.
While boys continue to attend school, girls’ schools are yet to be reopened.
