The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) team thumped Burundi’s National Assembly on Monday 16th 2019 in the regional Inter-Parliamentary games that’s ongoing in Uganda’s capital Kampala.
Burundi started the game swiftly in Men’s Volleyball winning the first set by 25-18 against EALA in Lugogo MTN Arena (Kampala), EALA came behind to snatch Burundi a victory in Men’s volley ball that went into the five sets EALA wining three sets in which the Regional Assembly won the fifth set by 15-13.
“We had done our best and played a great game which was tight we believe next year we will come back stronger and winning games,” said one of Burundian players.
Yet again EALA Volley ball women team locked horns with Burundi’s National Assembly team with the Regional Assembly team grabbing the win in one of its weak opponents in the tournament, the EALA women volley ball team won all the three sets by 25-10, 25-18 and 25-22.
The last match of day eight of the East African Inter-Parliamentary games saw Burundi’s National Assembly clashing with the East African Legislative Assembly team in men’s basketball game.
The Regional Assembly team came out with a victory after a tight match that was forced into overtime for EALA to win by 46-40 against Burundi.
